Forza 2 Collectors Edition

If I pick this up from Game 2nd hand, will the codes for the DLC (the Ferrari F430 CS) work?

I don't wanna waste my money on buying on it to find out the code will not work.

TIA

No. Or everyone would be passing them around.

Re: Forza 2 Collectors Edition

It depends if the original purchaser of the game used the codes for the Ferrari CS.

I got Forza 2 Collectors and the code is input into the 'redeem code' thingy on the dash, and it's then added as a purchasable car within the game, which you buy in game with credits. If the code has been used, it can't be used again.

So, if the guy who bought the game originally used the code, you will not be able to. The code may not even be in the box. If the guy bought it, and never used the code, you will be able to use it. I would suggest the original purchasr did use the code, as the extra cars were pretty much the only reason to get the LE.

All that said, if you really, really want the Ferrari CS, just buy the 'normal' version of Forza 2 and once you have played it, send me a Friend Request. As i said, the CS is added to the game once the code is input, and once that is done, you can buy as many CS's as you want providing you have the in-game credits.

I will buy you a stock Challenge Straddle, then gift it you through Forza 2.

Edit - i have done this before (i.e. gifted a Ferrari CS to a friend who did not have the LE) although that was about 8 months ago, so i don't know if a patch was released to stop LE cars being gifted. But as i say, last time i did it, it worked, so if you want the CS and assuming it still works, i will send it

Re: Forza 2 Collectors Edition

Norlo - is there any chance you could do the same for me please? I bought a collector's edition on eBay recently and the listing stated it had the bonus cars. When it arrived the codes weren't there so I was a bit disappointed. Also, I think there were 3 bonus cars with the collector's edition - 2003 Ferrari Challenge Stradale, 2006 Ford Saleen Mustang S281 E and 2006 Subaru Impreza S204.

Hope you don't mind me asking .

Re: Forza 2 Collectors Edition

Send me a FR mate, and i'll boot up Forza 2 this eve and gift it to you.

I have every car in Forza 2, but i can't remember how much in game credits i have (i.e. do i have enough to buy a CS plus the other 2 cars you note) - of that, i am not sure. If i have enough in game credits to buy you all 3, then i will and gift you all 3. If i don't have enough in game credits, i will gift you the CS. I will also gift a CS to the OP if they want it when they get the game - i am pretty sure i have enough to buy 2 CS.

Once i have bought and gifts those 2 CS's, if i have enough credits left, i will buy the other 2 cars and gift you those.

Just booted up Forza and this is not as straight forward as i thought

You cannot gift the 3 exclusive cars. I swear to god i did gifted a Ferrari CS ages ago, but maybe it was a different Ferrari. Either way, i can't do it now.

However, i can sell these three cars. I would need to sell you the model i have through auction house 'buy now' and the buy now sum would equal the cost of me buying the car again new. So, if you want the Ferrari CS it's 197,000 credits

Re: Forza 2 Collectors Edition

Unfortunately I don't think it's going to work mate. According to the official website you can only buy the LE cars on the Auction House if you've previously downloaded the cars yourself using your own codes: http://forums.forzamotorsport.net/fo...ad/183647.aspx

Oh well, thanks for the kind offer anyway .

Re: Forza 2 Collectors Edition

Ah, thanks for the link mate. Bugger. Obviously not going to work then

I really must be dreaming as i am sure i did gift a CS, but given the info at hand now, it looks as thought it was never possible, so my bad. I need to lay off the gear

Sorry about that.
