New Forza 2 Downloadable Content Pack - 400 MS points

From March the 19th, 13 new cars will be downloadable via XBOX live marketplace to add to Forza 2's already impressive collection.

The full list of cars available in the downloadable pack is: Audi S5, Audi TT Coupe S-Line, BMW 3.0 CSL E09, BMW E92 M3, Ferrari F40 Competizione, Ferrari F50 GT, Ferrari 430 Scuderia, Lamborghini Murcielago LP640, Maserati GranTurismo, Maserati MC12 Corsa, Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution X GSR, Porsche 911 GT2 (997) and the Peugeot #1 Peugeot 207 Super 2000 (Xbox liveried 2007 IRC championship winner).

These are great cars to revive the game with and I cant wait to take them out for a test run. What do you guys (and gals) think?

Re: New Forza 2 Downloadable Content Pack - 400 MS points

Doesn't interest me at all. There are plenty of cars already, I've bought car packs in the past for this and other games and found they add nothing to the game for me. I would try each new car once then its back on the shelf. To me its all about the tracks, if you want to keep me playing a driving game just sell me more tracks.

At least the price is right, developers seem to be realising they won't sell DLC if they try to screw too much money out of us.

I have to admit, I did expect at least 2 extra tracks, but how can you say no to the new Lancer Evo?

Not to mention the new M3.

Easily!. Obviously this game is aimed at gear heads. I'm not particularly into cars but love driving games. I also like motorcycle games but don't know anything about motorcylces.

Re: New Forza 2 Downloadable Content Pack - 400 MS points

I fancy the new F430 scuderia and the new murcielago.

I personally like the dlc cars - the FFX and the Koniegsegg CCGT in the last ones were great.

Will have to get some more MS points for these.

What i would like to see are cars like Escort Cosworth, MK3 Astra GTE, an old Mini Cooper etc etc. Saying that i'll still downlaod this as I am still addicted to this game

I have noticed with these new DLC cars when you try to apply a group vinyl (of say a collection of letters not sure about shapes etc), when they go on to the car they are all reversed

I read something like that happened, but never really seen it myself...

Fingers crossed these new cars are bug free.

they go into the dealers, you still have to buy them with in-game credits.

Car packs are a no sale for me. Track packs on the other hand ... instant purchase for myself and my small Forza racing group.

Re: New Forza 2 Downloadable Content Pack - 400 MS points

What do people think, are these worth getting? I watched the trailer on LIVE last night and it looked really good. On the other hand though I'm thinking that I've probably got enough cars still to try out with the game so I don't really need to but the car pack. Although I am tempted....

Dam you cyber money and the feeling that your not actually spending anything...

I haven't bought any of the other Forza DL content yet but as I've started playing it regularly again I fancy buying some extra content.

What about the two tracks available? Road to America (100 MS points) and the other track who's name I've forgotten (400 MS points). I assume they can only be use for multiplayer races or exhibition races. If that's the case do all the people on multiplayer have to have them to use them? Basically could I play against a mate on the track who hadn't downloaded it. I'm guessing not, but I thought I'd check.

Personally speaking I'm not at all tempted by car packs. I'm not a car-head at all and like you say, I've got plenty of cars to play around with already. I'll d/l the freebie cars, but not pay money for them - they don't add any value to me as it's unlikely I'd get much use out of them.

The tracks are excellent value for money IMHO. Well worth spending the points. It's the Twin Ring Motegi circuit for 400 points. It has 4 'ribbons' included, 4 different track layouts from short to long, hence 100 points apiece. Road America is superb, another long track. Highly recommended. Even if you were to only spend an evening on each of these tracks, I think they're worth the money.

No, everybody present needs to own the track.
