Why have some players on the leaderboards got what looks like a little Crown after their names?

im ranked 191st in the world on 2 seperate tracks in my r8. how wierd is that haha. i have pics to prove it

I remember last year on forza 2, i did a time trial on the new york track using the selected GT40 which they had set for that track and i at one stage was ranked #1 in the world

i didnt play it for a while after that but did take pics of my defining moment lol !!!
