vinyl groups are they always locked?

Hey,

So I figured I might make some vinyl font groups since the standard fonts are pretty limited in the game. My first is a very simple dot matrix font a-z 0-9.

However whilst showing them to a mate it appears that if you buy them from the storefront they are always locked, meaning you can't ungroup it and use them to actually build words out of.

Is this true? If so then it sucks, especially for the 9 people who've bought them from my storefront already. Any ideas how to sell fonts that other users can use to actually create words from?

This might be related (not sure), I bought a car from auction with a kick ass custom design, and it would not let be resell it with the design on it. It said something about registered vinyl teams or something like this design is locked. I think they are copywrited so you can't just do what you want with other peoples work

What if you gift vinyl groups, that are not bought on the storefront.

Yeah, thats what i've been thinking about but its a right pain in the ass. It means tagging my font with info saying to buy it, then since i don't know who has bought it, for them to stick it on a car and send me a photo, so i can the gift them the vinyl. Thats a lot of effort for me and them, just to get an unlocked font, probably not worth it.
