I was near the end of a race last night when the sound coming out of my amp/speakers changed to a constant high pitch tone. The game was still running so I muted the amp and continued the race trying to finish it. I got within about 100 yards of the finish line and the game locked up completely. I had to reboot my 360. Its only happened once so far but I've only played a few hours. Anyone else had anything similar?

could be a problem with your 360 rather than the game, its never crashed on me

No problems for me either and ive been playing it nearly non stop since Wednesday.

Ive had the game freeze while i was in the livery creator.

Lost an hours work, had to reboot 360.

My 360 is normally rock solid. I've just played about 50 hours of nfs shift without a crash.

Similar thing happened when I was playing CoD3 prior to my 360 dying.

My 18 month old elite was rock solid and at most got luke warm (no warmer than my V+ box) - after downloading Forza 3 demo it started creating a mesh/mosaic effect on the screen shortly after booting (game continued behind it) requiring re-boot. Couple of weeks later died with E74 so off to Germany for repair.

Probably coincidence, but the UPS gut said it was the 17th he'd collected in the local area in the last 2 days.

So, got Forza 3, M$ wheel, wheel stand pro but no xbox

Exactly the same thing happened to me - continuous sound then game locks up.

The fact that it doesn't all lock up at once implies to me that it might not e an overheating issue. My elite is only about a month old.

Hopefully a game update will fix this.

I had the game lock-up 6 times in the one day.I sorted this by resetting my cock-pit view settings after doing the FOV? trick,there's a thread about it and it was a forum member that got me thinking that could be it.Its never done it since.

my game crashes when i go to the tires and rims upgrade section and it just freezes. i have had my xbox 360 elite since Feb 2009 and its dieing already .
