Re: Forza 3 (UK Release: 23 Oct 2009) Part 2

Anyone done much research on the livery editor as I think this time round I'm going to let loose my artistic talents. Already started getting some ideas spinning round my head for designs to try out and think it will be quite peaceful chilling out on my 360 for a change instead of killing everything in sight

It isn't peaceful when you spend 5 house on a design and have a power cut.

There was a post on the official forum with some magazine scans, but they have been deleted. But they showed a grid system that can be used now. It beats having to make your own anyway.

It also said you now have a blank canvas instead of having to paint directly onto the car, and the layer limit is now 5000 per side.

I just think they will have listened to what people wanted, and refined the whole system for us. I hadn't used the auction house for a long time and i was amazed at how many stunning cars are now out there.

Forza 3: Preview Pt 1 (UK Release: 23 Oct 2009)

Spooksta - to answer your question in the above post, the answer is yes. Road Atlanta Short is a good example of where a wheel can be faster than a pad

Anyone know if the livery editor will allow some sort of photo upload/link system?

Endless possibilties if that's the case.

Re: Forza 3 (UK Release: 23 Oct 2009) Part 2

Got my wheel setup now and started playing some FM2 today, obviously I'm slower than with the pad at the moment but inside of an hour my performance was increasing dramatically as I became smoother on throttle and steering. I hope by the time FM3 comes around I'll have finished FM2 off and be on par with the wheel compared to my pad performance.

Yeah, the wheel takes longer to get used to but i can beat all my pads times with it now. just so much more immersive too. highly recommended even to those veteran forza pad players. you know who you all are

No the wheel I'm using is the super cheap Logitech DriveFX which has impressed me with just how good it is for the silly money they're selling for now.

2 questions, Is the 23rd October the confirmed release date? and is there a wheel that works with both ps3 and 360 that doesn't cost a million billion punds?

I really like the MS wheel, and to be honest i have no complaints about it at all, its just that everyone who has tried the G25 says that is is a massive improvement, and i just want an excuse to buy a new gadget

I currently have my MS wheel bolted to one of these

Cheers Monkey. I was afraid you'd post a play seat as I don't have room for one of those. Looking at various threads it seems people either have a playseat or have made one, or they use things like an ironing board or keyboard music stand lol.

Oh well back to the drawing board, or should I say ironing board

EyesOnly. Have you seen the WheelStand Pro? They got good reviews on another thread somewhere on this forum. They look just the job for someone who needs a stand that is easy to store away when not in use.

Yes I've been eyeing one of those up but the thoughts of instablility put me off as it's quite expensive still. A small table about 60cm high would suit me but I can't find one.

That WheelStand Pro looks pretty sweet, before i got the playseat, i used an old chameleon cage i cut the back out of for a stand, it worked really well apart from the underlying stench of reptiles

As far as wheel support, i've used a second hand moto-cross paddock stand it's got two heights so can be adjusted for comfort, and the best bit is that it was bought second hand from lyng motocross meeting whilst wandering round the pits for £20. a bit battered and bashed job done.

what's a padock stand look like?

For some reason the gamespot vids won't work on my computer. A couple of others have had the same problem.
