And I can confirm from personal experience that The GH:WT guitar works with Rock Band 1. I'll be buying RB2 soon hopefully.

Yes, it should work fine. The only missing thing is the effects switch (honestly I'm not even sure what it does anyway - I think it switches between whammy and other effects for the whammy bar). The other Guitar Hero instruments should work fine as well.

When you are in practice mode the touchstrip will cause the speed to change if touched - which can be an issue if you want to practice tapping something.
