Noticed that we didn't have a thread for World Tour DLC this month, so here goes...

January 8th
Country Rock Track Pack

January 15th
Travis Barker Track Pack
"What's My Age Again?" from Blink-182

January 22nd
Australian Rock Track Pack
"Tomorrow" from Silverchair
"Dimension" from Wolfmother
"Outtathaway!" from The Vines

January 29th
"Dig Out Your Soul" from Oasis
"Born to Run" and "My Lucky Day" from Bruce Springsteen

Kind of a nothing month till the 29th, when we get a full album from Oasis and the free Springsteen two pack. Neversoft really need to step it up.

I think you'll have to buy them as singles, as the album pack includes the Oasis songs already released.

Which after a quick calculation, means you'll be spending 1280 points for 8 tracks compared to 1520 points for the whole album. And when you add up the price of those 8 tracks with the already released three pack, that's 1720 points overall, meaning Neversoft have screwed Oasis fans out of 200 points for wantng their songs as soon as they were released.

a poor selection really. I will take Born to Run though, as that song is class and will be brilliant.

I bought the Oasis pack already, and if they think I am going to double dip then they have another thing coming. Surely for those of us with the pack already will be offered the other songs at a reduced rate ? If not then I will boycott any more DLC

The Springsteen tracks will only be available as double pack as they are free, so you'll be getting both of them.

You would have to imagine that Activision have factored in that people purchased the 3 Oasis singles already and come up with something get around the problem. Expect much moaning across the interweb if they don't.

It's the 27th today, but I can't Born to Run listed yet.

The latest song is the "Aussie Track Pack", which was released on 22/01/09: Xbox LIVE Marketplace | Guitar Hero World Tour

Maybe it is not out until the the 29th after all.....

It probably won't go live until about 10am UK time (which is 2am at MS HQ), just like all the other GH:WT DLC. Just be patient.

poor selection really, i just had a peak at the rock band DLC and theres so much more. I think GHWT had 61 (approx) Rockband 2 had 400+

How much do these song work out at in £ . I aint bought points in ages.

I hope there's a bundle without the 3 already released tracks, not good to make us buy tracks twice.

Not too impressed with the songs from The Boss. My Lucky Day is good but I'm not quite sure what they've done to Born To Run. They've turned down all the 'other' instruments so it sounds just really quite wierd for anyone that's used to the song. The Sax salo is pretty much muted instead of being at the forefront of the song and the piano/organ parts are practically non-existent. I really don't think there was any need to butcher a classic.

Only played Born to Run and it sounded like it was a live version, certainly not the classic you hear on the radio.

The bass guitar chart on Born to Run is really fun. The main guitar part, whilst distinctive in the mix is actually rather boring to play. Least this weeks DLC is better than previous weeks, where the songs were mediocre at best.

The price structure of the Oasis album is annoying. Since I have the three tracks released last year I'll have to download 8 tracks seperately.

Is there any other free tracks or user-made tracks worth playing? I'd love if they/anyone redid some of the GH1/2 tracks - TROGDOR COMES IN THE NIGHT!
