Hi all....

Ive never played RB online........but as ive been abandoned by my 17 year old daughter..(she has discovered boys again ... )..
I would like to give it a try

Im not that interested in face offs and battles,but would like to be part of a band...(or is it only face offs and battles online ? )
Im an OK player on Expert guitar, i dont gold star many songs, and i still cant do Green green grass..

Question ...can you communicate via the mic while in game ?
if not.... How do you communicate ?...or do you decide beforehand via this board or live messenger or something like that ?
What ( if any ) is the lag like ?......(im on 50Mb Cable here )


I have a Roland TD3 as well as guitars , but will only play up to hard on drums,my old legs cant take the bashing...Can play expert guitar and bass, and will have a go at medium /Hard vocals..

Most people here usually just stick to Band Quickplay as the other modes, including the face-off ones, are a bit limited. Rock Band is all about "playing" music together, which explains why the co-op modes seem to be the most well received.

You can indeed. Guitar/Bass/Drums have a headset jack on them, whereas the vocalist talks through the mic instead.

Due to the way the network code works, there are few problems with lag. The way it works means that you won't be able to hear the singer though - although in my case, that's proabably a good thing!
