Does anybody know whether there are any differences whatsoever between the formats.....not just the game itself but the add ons etc?!

Cheers

Re: Xbox or ps3

As far as i know there's no difference in DLC or disc content. The PS3 is slightly more open, so it's easier to get 3rd party peripherals (full size wooden wireless guitars, mics etc) and to connect real electronic drum kits with full support (including Rock Band 1/2/etc).

But basically no, no difference.

If you're thinking of Rock Band as well, then there the 360 wins, as it's going to get (rumoured) full support from the "Rock Band Network", while the PS3 is not going to be the main platform and hence will only get some RBN songs converted over.

Re: Xbox or ps3

If someone was only planning on using the "standard" hardware to play GH and RB (i.e. had no interest in hooking up a real e-drum kit, for example), then I would advise going for the 360 version every time. I have 2 GH Les Paul's, the RB2 drums and a large selection of mics and they work with every music rhythm game I own.

I totally agree with Stinja on the Xbox Avatar thing though - although it is somewhat amusing to see, it really doesn't add anything to the experience IMO.

Re: Xbox or ps3

I do generally by everything for the XBOX (I just find it a better machine) but one day last christmas while shopping, a retailer had LOR Bundle on PS3 for £35 and I thought bargain.

As I already have the guiater and game on PS3, I suppose I was trying to be pursuaded that the xbox version would be the way to go.

Anyways, rant over...I will stick with my choice and am now looking forward to Dj Hero (preordered)

Cheers Guys
