Faulty guitar...?...

On my RB guitar, which I've had for about 7-8 months (although not used a great deal), I think the sensor for when when you 'tip up' the guitar has gone faulty. Basically as soon as you get the meter half way up, generally it will go straight into the overdrive(?) mode and empty. You can't save it up and use it when you want. Is this a common thing and something that can be fixed or should I just take it back to Argos? Any idea what they would do? Should I box it all up even though it's only the guitar?

Cheers...

Phone them up first to see if they want the whole thing back but yeah, take it back for a replacement.
