Battery by Metalica

This song comes up at number seven in a list I have to complete for some Rolling Stones award. I keep messing it up. When I try to find it, it's not listed in my songs, so I can't practice it. How can this be?
What's particularly annoying is that I'd got 5 stars on the previous six tunes, before being booed off!
Is there a way to save between songs in a long set, please?

Re: Battery by Metalica

you haven't "unlocked" the song yet.

Dont ask me where it is in the tour though. I havent got a clue. I unlcoked it by playing the challenges.

If you have the infinite 80's challenge unlcoked, play that it should unlock.

You cant save your progress in the tour set lists im afraid (you can in the challenges though)

Re: Battery by Metalica

Thanks for that. I'll just have to keep trying till I can get to practice it!
It doesn't seem all that difficult, but there's a run of double notes that I just couldn't get the hang of.

Re: Battery by Metalica

It also unlocks in the "Infinite Metal" challenge, and maybe another in the Impossible category too?

I dont believe i've managed to finish Battery on Hard difficulty yet? At some point it just becomes too much for me, and then i explode... One of those songs which annoy me because Medium is too easy, but the jump up seems like too big a margin.

Re: Battery by Metalica

Believe it or not, it's on medium that I'm having trouble! I can't really understand why - it's just a run of two notes but i can't seem to get in synch with them.
I'll get it one day.

Re: Battery by Metalica

So any progress Davfra?

I had another go on Hard recently and it really does crush me; i was doing better using left hand for snare and right for toms, but any tips on getting this down? Should i just play it at 70% speed in practice mode over and over or something? (which is dull as no lyrics)

EDIT: Grrrrrrr i hate him:

Re: Battery by Metalica

Stinja,

I have passed this on hard drums and the hard bit is when you go green, red, green, red as well as hitting the bass notes and it repeats for ages.

The key is just to get into the right hand, left hand and repeat rhythm and then add the bass notes. Its a bit like thrashing left right left right a lot with the footpedal coming in every 6 or 8 notes. It does vary a bit with blue and yellow notes coming into play instead of the red ones but all you do is move your left hand to these instead of the red one and keep the same left, right left, right rhythm.

Once you get this technique down it becomes less of a ball ache (although still not easy). Then you can get your star power back to full on the easier bits.

I hope this helps.

Re: Battery by Metalica

I have found out that the bit where I go wrong is when the singer comes in. He seems to sing to a different beat to the music.
I know that sounds crazy, but the the bit where I mess up is just a simple line of repetative notes.
I seem to be playing to the singers beat which is different to the music.
Weird or what?

No red appears to be snare.

Re: Battery by Metalica

Yeah lefthanded sorry. I'll try to find a righthanded person playing with it, and drums being shown.

But this is a song i need to get working on Hard, as a mate loves it, and medium is just so boring.
