Re: Warbeast Guitar Controller

No offence intended to the OP, but am I the only one who thinks that guitar looks horrible? I've seen it being used by that GuitarHeroPhenom kid before and thought it looked uncomfortable to play with.

Re: Warbeast Guitar Controller

no its not just you mate. I agree. I dont like funny shape guitars. No offence of course.

They do have some sweet guitars for the PS3 though. marcbc's one is pretty cool. I guess its down to MS making it stupidly expensive to licence the wireless technology.

Ill sacrifice pretty guitars for getting the game first and the Rockband Network though

Re: Warbeast Guitar Controller

I wouldn't mind an aftermarket guitar for better build-quality and playability (much like buying drums), but it has to be comfy. A flying-V would probably be my choice, something about the shape and usefulness for enhancing pelvic thrusts

Indeed. No need to rub the last two points in the faces of us PS3 owners though

'Novelty' guitars are fine for people who stand up to play but I'm a lazy **** so they're no use to me

I knew you werent hence my winky; if the 360 does get the RBN (with no sign of an immediate PSN one) then i'd seriously consider getting a 360 copy. Just then i get the whole problem of hooking up my drums...

I do hope the next wave or music games (GH5 and RB3) give more support to third party equipment, for either platform, as the devs must know the serious fans are doing all sorts of odd stuff, and want to connect better than the shipped devices up

GH drums like you do now mate. you can pick them up for £30ish. Simples. Only problem is, you would have to re-buy all your DLC.

If RB release drums with a midi out, id buy them then i can get my cymbal sounds back in fills. I miss them.

Yes it is a nice guitar. If they sold it in the UK it be very tempted but they a'int cheap.

Im half tempted to have a go at customising one of my spare GH guitars. Anyone got any experience of doing this?

No GH drums. SethBox = velocity info and cymbals in fills

This was very popular in the first Guitar Hero & GH2 times. Loads of people custom made guitars and fit the standard controller into the new instrument, usually adding wireless at the same time. It really isn't hard if you're half-handy with a soldering iron.

Re: Warbeast Guitar Controller

Doubly-Posty Goodness!

I spotted this guitar controller recently:

OpenChord.org

Much like plugging real edrums into Rock Band, it's trying to shoehorn in a stringed guitar into the music game, so you have to actually press strings and strum strings. Of course it dosent make you press the right chords as far as i can tell, but a step closer.

As an aside, should the thread title be changed to "Guitar Controller Thread" or something? As it's got lots of general guitar info, not just the WarBeast now.
