Weezer!! Brilliant. Rock Band got me into this band and now I love them. Looks like they held back a few of the classics from the first pack just to keep us happy later. I really cant wait for this.

Pork and Beans is a brilliant song IMO and I'm delighted that it's finally coming to Rock Band.

I'll definitely be picking up the Weezer and Blink-182 packs.

I freaking LOVE that song!

Bit gutted about the Kiss tracks, got excited when I saw the name, less so with the tracks. We need some detroit rock city and love gun!!!! Cant see us getting them now though!

Erm... Detroit Rock City is on the Rock Band 1 disc and can be exported. Am I missing something here?

i'll have to drag it out again and give that un a try to see if i remember it. apart from putting the disc in to make sure it works when i re-bought it i haven't played gh3 since about 2 months after it came out

Well I downloaded the Weezer pack, the Damone song, Kiss Deuce and Blink 182 Rock Song. I played these on hard guitar and this is what I thought.

The Weezer is exactly what I would expect - pretty straight forward and easy. The Damone track is the gem in this bunch a great fun guitar track which is quite challenging but very doable. The Kiss track and Blink 182 are also fun but not as good as Damone track - I recommend it.

What a great week of content!

The Rock Show by Blink 182 is pretty fun on drums, it has a strange chart that I didn't get at first

Undone is pretty simple on drums, until you get to that crazy bit at the end with loads of bass lines.

A good week for sure. I was enjoying My Name is Jonas on expert drums right up to the point I got booed off stage on the fast alternating red/yellow and bass bit! Those rhythms always kill me, more practise required...

right got the weezer and blink packs, awesome...
100% pork and beans on drums on first try awesome (altho its easy)...
but somehow im ranked at like 300 and something,
and my score is at least a 1000 lower then the number 1 rank, how is this possible?!
i remember having this problem with geraldine, as the song was so easy i tried a few times activating the star power at different times but i always got a lower score, i even tried missing an early star power note to see if activating the star power later would give me a higher score but no. its really bugging me,
anyone know how its possible?!

The short and simple answer is a technique called "Squeezing". I can't explain it properly, as I've never really been able to do it, but this entry provides a basic outline of what is involved:

I'm sure some of the more experienced drummers here (Dr Evilest, lentini, chewyx etc) will be able to better answer this.

Getting the optimal score on drums is based on three key things.

1. Hit all the Notes - Obvious
2. Choosing the best time to use overdrive - since when you get OD notes start getting 'covered up' by the fills. But at the same time you want to activate when there are more notes
3. Squeezing - hit 'hidden' notes during fill activations - which will net a couple of hundred points.

This reference has helped me get gold stars on a lot of drum songs. It shows the optimal time to activate and what the hidden phrases are.

Holy crap! i havent fired RB up for a while , i kind of jsut forgot about it, but Weezer? more Weezer? i cant wait to get home to play this, i cant believe they got Undone for Rock Band, this has made my day!
