Re: Newbie Questions....

You can use the lower buttons during guitar solos to feel more like you're rocking out, but that's it.

Personally I hated I the RB guitar, so have a GH3 and a GH:A guitar for all my axe wielding needs.

Edit: However, RB is the much better game. I got GH:WT first, and then RB afterwards, and now I can't go back to WT. Every now and then I fire it up, but I just get frustrated with it. The interface of RB is much cleaner, and I just prefer the note charts.

Save yourself some money, and just buy a TD9KX and Rock Band 2 now and ignore the other stuff - trust me, you'll be saving long-term

But if you must play guitar then yes my vote would be for the GHWT guitar (only) and Rock Band 2 The only real differences are the comfort for the different shapes, and clicking on the bars/buttons and reliability. Happy strumming!

I thought that guitar was absolutely brilliant at first. If I didn't have a squeaky strumbar (tried WD40 trick, didn't work) and then the touch strip started triggering strums (on WT). I think the later was a more limited issue. On the whole though, that was easily the be guitar I've used. Pity I don't have one anymore. Here's hoping the Beatles bass is just as good
