You Gotta Know When to Hold Em - New Country Track Pack

From: Rock Band Country Track Pack - Full Set List and More Details! - Rock Band Forums

Quote:
Rock Band Country Track Pack, featuring 21 tracks from country music’s superstars of yesterday and today, is a standalone software product that allows owners of Rock Band® and Rock Band®2 to keep the party going with a whole new setlist. Thirteen of the on disc tracks are brand new to the Rock Band platform and will be exclusive to the Rock Band Country Track Pack disc for a limited time before joining the Rock Band® Music Store as downloadable content.

Complete Track List:

Artist Song Title
1. Alan Jackson Good Time*
2. Brad Paisley - Mud on the Tires
3. Brooks & Dunn - Hillbilly Deluxe
4. Cross Canadian Ragweed - Cry Lonely*
5. Dierks Bentley - Free and Easy (Down the Road I Go)
6. Dixie Chicks - Sin Wagon
7. Drive-By Truckers - 3 Dimes Down
8. Jason Aldean - She's Country*
9. Keith Urban - I Told You So*
10. Kenny Chesney - She Thinks My Tractor's Sexy*
11. Kenny Rogers - The Gambler*
12. Lucinda Williams - Can't Let Go
13. Martina McBride - This One's For The Girls*
14. Miranda Lambert - Gunpowder & Lead
15. Montgomery Gentry - Gone*
16. Rascal Flatts - Me and My Gang*
17. Sara Evans - Suds In The Bucket*
18. Shania Twain - Any Man of Mine*
19. Steve Earle - Satellite Radio
20. Trace Adkins - Swing*
21. Willie Nelson - On the Road Again*

* Denotes track new to Rock Band platform

It's not clear if the actual disc-based track-pack will be released outside of the North American market, but we should be getting the new asterixed tracks as DLC once the 'limited time' exclusivity has ended.

What's that? General shoulder shrugging and 'mehs' from my fellow AVFers?

Nononono, my friends. For behold:

11. Kenny Rogers - The Gambler*
...
21. Willie Nelson - On the Road Again*
Mmmm, that's some lovely, country goodness right there. Nom nom nom.

Willie Nelson is on GH:WT, and it's a chore to play on drums. So I'd pass on all of them, with the exception of Kenny Chesney!!!

Re: You Gotta Know When to Hold Em - New Country Track Pack

If this is released in UK or is region free I will get it. Hey, even if the disc doesn't work it could work out cheaper to use the code then buying the 13 songs separately at a later date.

Out of the tracks already released I would recommend Can't Let Go by Lucinda Wiliams. Really fun on both drums and guitar and I really like the vibe of the song.
3 Dimes Down sounds a bit like the Stones circa Exile on Main Street. Gunpowder and Lead is also good. Sin Wagon is one of the most challenging guitar songs in the RB canon.

Plus I was recently in Nashville so it reminds me of my visit there to the Mecca of country music. (Although I much preferred the Blues/Rock hotspot of Memphis)

Ditto for me except my pet hate is jazz! Could you imagine a bit of free form guitar jazz in RB?!?

Re: You Gotta Know When to Hold Em - New Country Track Pack

I saw the video for Sara Evans' Suds In The Bucket (there's an achievement attached to the vocals for this song) and must say that I found it rather catchy (also Evans is easy on the eye). Methinks I'll have to check out some of stubbs' recommendations.

I would probably only get The Gambler. Everyone knows The Gambler.
