DD505 drums with Rock Band

Hi everyone,

I've had a Session Pro DD505 electronic drum kit for a few years, and decided I'd try it out with Rock Band.

I've connected it up to the Guitar Hero World Tour drum set with a midi cable, but not all of the pads register with the game.

The toms cymbles are fine, but the kick and snare (red) don't register.

Does anyone know how this could be resolved? I think the Midi implemenation may need to be adjusted but I don't know how to do this.

Any help would be appreciated!

Thanks

Tom

Re: DD505 drums with Rock Band

The FAQ should have a listing of the MIDI channels required for the different pads. You'll have to check the manual of your drum module to find out if you can remap them though. Some entry level modules don't allow you to.

Re: DD505 drums with Rock Band

You probably need to change the midi note output for the problem pads according to this:

RockBand Settings:
RED - MIDI Note 38
YELLOW - MIDI Note 46
BLUE - MIDI Note 48
GREEN - MIDI Note 45
ORANGE - MIDI Note 36

Guitar Hero World Tour Settings:
RED - MIDI Note 38
YELLOW - MIDI Note 46
BLUE - MIDI Note 48
GREEN - MIDI Note 45
ORANGE - MIDI Note 49
PURPLE - MIDI Note 36

Here's a link that might help, it does say that you can build a custom kit on p11 of the manual apparently:
