Drumstick advice wanted

I'm currently using some totally battered up old drumsticks i found.

They feel much better that the stock RB sticks, as the feel heavier.

They are well worn out but i think i can read Vic Firth & 5A on them?

Is that a 'type' of drumstick?

Which websites have you ordered from and also which are considered a good make, but arn't too expensive?

I'm gonna go to Meadowhall tonight and have a look, shall i mention they are for Rock Band?

Thanks fellow drummers.

(will the spending never end? )

Yes Mark that's exactly what you need t ask for.

Vic Firth 5a's.

Go for about £8 a pair online. Not sure where you'd get em from in Meadowhall tho. I try t avoid the place like the plague!

Got to take iphone back cos got dust under screen,

also return 'In The Movies', cos dont need cam for Fight Night gameface, and get Singstar Disney, cos just discovered PS2 singstar games work in PS3.

Re: Drumstick advice wanted

if your comfortable with the size and weight of the 5A's you dont have to buy vic firth (I have several pairs myself they are a nice stick at about £8 each)

If your not too bothered about making sure they are Vic Firth's, try some of these

I got a pair a month or so ago and they are awesome. They feel slightly tacky and are much easier to keep hold of when your arms are flying about the place (which im sure with your new RB2 drums and cymbals yours must be!)

they can be found all over the place for about £10. Just google Zildjian dip coat and you will get tons of matches.

Re: Drumstick advice wanted

I picked up a pair of the zildjian's from my local music shop when I got RB, fantastic sticks IMHO.

Easiest way to describe is this:

The number is the circumference of the stick, and the letter is the weight. So a 5B is the same as a 5A but heavier, therefore better in louder situations.

The lower the number, the thicker the circumference (generally).

Most rock drummers would use 5A or 5B (I use 5Bs with my real band).
