It's worth pointing out you need an Xbox Live Gold Subscription to access the Sky Player. Silver members will not be able to access it.
What does the Sky Player on Xbox 360 give me access to?
There are 38 channels available on Sky Player, and 24 of those support live streaming. The 14 non-live channels and most of the 24 live channels also offer on-demand content, ie. shows/events/movies that can be played at any time after they have appeared on the live channel. Not everything will be available, but alot should be.
You will only be able to access live or on-demand content for channels you subscribe to. Some of the on-demand content you have to pay for regardless of if you subscribe to that channel or not, but it seems if you have access to the sports and/or movie channels, their related on-demand content is always at no extra charge.
So, what can you access?
If you are a current Sky subscriber with a Multiroom subscription or Broadband Unlimited
You will be able to access all Sky channel content included in your subscription, both live and on-demand.
If you are a current Sky subscriber who does not have a Multiroom subscription or Broadband Unlimited
You will be able to access all on-demand content for the channels you subscribe to, but in order to access the live channels included in your subscription, you will need to start paying for Multiroom or Broadband Unlimited (which is £10 a month for either Broadband Unlimited or a Sky Player Multiroom sub). Use the code "XBOX1MONTHFREE" during the sign-up process to get a months free access to the live channels.
If you are not a current Sky subscriber
You will need to start a subscription to the Sky Player service in order to access on-demand or live content. Subscriptions start at £15 per month (one month minimum), or you use the code "XBOX3FOR2" during the sign-up process for 3 months for the price of 2. The price list for channels is here:

How good is the quality of the Sky Player, and what broadband speed do I need?
All content is SD (Standard Definition, up to TV quality) at the moment, HD (High Definition) is not currently available. There are 3x quality settings to set your Sky Player at to watch live TV, depending on your broadband speed.
- High Quality (near TV quality) - 1.8Mbps (or put another way, about 810MB per hour)
- Medium Quality - 1.1Mbps (495MB/hr)
- Low Quality - 0.6Mbps (270MB/hr)
All on-demand content streams at 1.4Mbps (630MB/hr), nothing can be downloaded to your Xbox. If you're not sure how fast your broadband connection is, run a test at this website:
http://speedtest.net/
It is recommended by Sky and Microsoft you have at least a 2Mbps connection to use the service, though it is possible to get by with less.
Can I use the Sky Player on more than 1 Xbox 360/PC/Mac?
You can only nominate 1x Xbox 360 for the service, plus up to 4x PCs or Macs. You can change the consoles/PCs/Macs nominated to recieve Sky Player up to once a month.
