Is it possible to do this? the files are dropped onto the ipod as if it was a hard drive. My XBox can see the ipod under the music & photos options, but not in the videos option.

Re: Is it possible to watch AVIs stored on an ipod?

if you could find a way to restart your ipod in mass storage mode it would probably work. but i'm not sure how you'd do that without it being triggered by a driver, which of course the xbox won't send. - maybe if you installed ipod linux, or rockbox. if i hook my ipod up to my pc while it's running rockbox then it switches to mass storage mode (although transfers are slower in that mode, so I let it reboot into the apple firmware)
