Xbox wont connect to PC (surprise surprise)

OK, so i have 2 xbox 360s in the house, one wired downstairs and one wireless in my room...

My laptop (wireless) connects no problem to the one downstairs and i have happily streamed videos and music to it (even when it was wireless).

The one upstairs however cant see my laptop and my laptop cant see it either...i did notice that it could see the xbox when it was wired to the router though...

I have tried connecting through WMP11, zune, TVersity and windows media centre but all of them say the xbox could not be found. All the needed ports are open (i think) and i have Upnp enabled.

I have tried everything i can think of, xbox support are useless and just keep sending me back to the same troubleshooting site and i am at a complete loss now.

Its not possible for me to use a wired connection for my laptop or xbox.

Please let me know if you have any ideas but bear in mind im not the MOST technically minded girl, although i know a fair bit

THANKS!

The most common problem would be conflicted firewalls from your laptop - I found that anything more than the Windows one would cause problems. Have you got any firewalls turned on?

I know it doesn't help, but my Vista with WMP11 worked perfectly with the Windows firewall turned on. Does your Xbox show in your Network and Sharing Centre network map?
