Hi all
I have a Windows Home Server with all my media on (about 15000 songs plus movies) all in the shared music/movies folders. I have a few playlists that I have made previously stored in the shared music folder on the WHS.
The problem I have is the Xbox 360 can see the playlists but not all of the songs show up. i.e. I have a playlist that contains 77 songs but the xbox only sees 56 of them. There seems to be no logical pattern to the ones it wont see, i.e. 2 songs on a playlist could be stored in the same folder on the WHS but the playlist on the xbox will only contain one of them on the xbox.
All the native music files are accessible from the xbox and all the permissions on the WHS are set correctly. There is no firewall between the WHS and Xbox and all my systems are running up to date software. I have imported all the songs into WMP on the server but that didn't work (just took ages) I have tried both .m3u and .wpl playlists and although .wpl shows more songs on the xbox, it still can't see all the songs on the original playlist.
I have searched everywhere for an answer but the closest i can find is the xbox can't see any songs in a playlist but there are no suggestions in them threads that apply to me or I havent already tried.
I would've thought that with both products coming from the same company this would be easy......but this is Microsoft
