Tversity / Jasper question

I've been using Tvesrity for a while to stream from my Lappy's external hard drive, on my old Xbox a video starts playing straight away and there was often a bit of a stutter at the start, presumable as the film buffers a bit.
With my new Jasper arcade fitted with my 120gb hard drive there is a delay in starting the playback, the length varies depending on the siza of the file, with a 500+ mb True Blood episode the delay was a couple of minutes long.
Why might this be? Is the video being pre-buffered into the new xboxes onboard memory? That's the only reason for the difference that i can think of.
It's not a major problem really but it can be annoying

Just noticed the same with streaming xbox live videos
