Hi,

I have

• Windows XP 2P3 PC (Wired to router)
• Windows Vista Home Edition Laptop (Wirelessly connected to router)
• 60GB Premium XBOX 360 Console (Wired to Router)
• Belkin 54G Wirless Router (the router)

I would like to stream movies from my PC to my xbox. None of my computers are Media Centre editions, However using limited knowledge I managed to stream music from both computers, however when I tried Movies (.avi) The video would play but was very unclear and blurry. When I play that same video through my PC it's fine. Then using a little advice from a friend, I tried a HD Movie (.mkv) and for some reason that wouldn't play at all.

Therefore my question would be, is there anyway of playing normal XVID movies through my xbox properly, that is in good quality.
And could I play HD Movies (.mkv) through my pc?

To run MKV or XVID etc. I believe that you'd need some kind of transcoding software running on your PC which your 360 can connect to. Try searching under transcode.

I convert my mkv files to mp4 using gotsent.

Takes about 12mins to do a 42min tv show on my pc.
