This is doing my head in now... I have been unable to get Media Center to work although I am sure it used to work when I first tried it (when I first bought my xbox 3 years ago).
Anyway I read about doing this through Media Player 11, followed the instructions and my xbox isn't appearing in "Media Sharing" folder...

Would be great if someone could tell me what I am doing wrong here...

this happened to me but after goin in to the media sharing menu on the xbox where it displays that code it then eventually appeared on my PC in media centre

I have tried it all ways and I cannot for the life of me get it to work... nothing stopping it in the firewall or anything like that either....

Cannot get Media Center to work with the code (cannot find extender) and also in WMP11 - doesn't see the xbox in the sharing folder, this MUSt be something really simple that I am missing here.

Anyone got any ideas?

I'm living away from home for 12months, and have taken my old Elite with me. When I am at home I use a RE Elite and it streams from both MP and MC fine, but using exactly the same setup the Black Elite can't see the Computer and vice versa.

It makes no sense if the other 360 streams fine, so I tried turning off the firewall and still no luck, even plugging the 360 directly into the computer fails to work (even though ICS works).


It is doing my nut. I think the 360 is not announcing itself, that's partly why I got my RE console which worked straight out of the box.



Well really bizarrely it works with my HTPC but not my lappy.

Forgive me if this seems condescending but have you tried reseting your pc??

People tend to forget this one as it's so simple
