MCE and connection problems.

So I have just set up my new elite and am having some connection problems.

I have set up Media Centre and it connects in well and I can see the files I need to play. But as they are divx it wont play (says it is unrecognised codec).

The solution to this problem is to just play the videos through the dash but the xbox wont pick up the pc (despite the fact that the pc can see the xbox).

Any clues on how i can force an update to mce or force the xbox to pick up the computer which for some reason it has no problem doing when going through mce mode.

Re: MCE and connection problems.

but the xbox is not picking up the computer when i test the connection?

it works fine in mce mode but not direct mode?

edit: the problem seems to be norton. need to find an exception for it as clearly it is allowing the exception for mce.
