Converting VOB to play on 360 (& PS3) via NAS (twonky server)

Morning (afternoon)

I have replaced our home dvd system with a PS3 upstairs and 360 downstairs connected to the NAS for our home viewing. I started ripping all our daughters dvd's in the hopes of having them all on the NAS cutting out the need to disc swap and clutter up the sitting room with dvd boxes. What I now have is a bunch of dvd's (VOB'd) on my hdd and patches of hair missing after trying to get the 360 to see the files.

What I have tried so far : Handbrake (latest version) 360 / custom / tweeked and even some suggested settings to convert the VOB to mp4. Nothing works. The PS3 picks them up and plays no issues, the 360 just reports and empty directory (or if the files show comes up with invalid format).

I have tried converting all VOB to mpeg (VOBtoMPEG), again PS3 picks the files up fine, 360 reports and empty directory.

I know there are limitations to what the 360 will play but I'm sure others have done the same with their dvd library? Could anyone please tell me what I'm doing wrong here as we have all this kit around the house and have reverted to using the 360 as a dvd drive...

Not sure we are allowed to discuss ripping DVDs on this forum. But I can confirm that Handbrake works fine for me using the Xbox settings. I just use the pre-set options for the 360 and it works fine. I also use Twonky Media for the streaming. I'm streaming from a PC and not a NAS though. Don't know if this would make a difference.

Morning

I hope I didn't break any rules, they are dvd's I own, and have not really gone into discussion on how to do it / how its done but rather was just step #1 in the process of my issue...

As said in first post - the handbrake 360 setting doesn't work for me - just ignores the files. Managed to get it working though - now looking at streamlining the process

Vob2mpeg - mpeg converted using AutoGK. Worked a treat.
