Xbox 360 Elite - Too noisy to be used to play music?

Is it just me who get infuriated with their 360 if they use it to play music? It's Ok if there's some dance or rock being played but anything which is vocal or quiet in places the whirring of the Elite ruins it for me.

Do I need to look at another solution for playing my music or can I make the 360 quieter? Is it the hard drive which makes the noise? If so I guess removing it would work but that's not very practical is it?

Are you playing from CD, because if streaming it shouldn't be loud enough to disturb your music.

streaming. I've just had a thought. I had a game in the drive. would that cause the drive to spin up?

If you connect a PC to your router via an ethernet cable, login to your router probably 192.168.1.1 and go to the wireless settings options the router should display your WEP key.

Although if you are using WEP you might as well not bother with security. WPA is the only secure wireless encryption, ideally WPA2.
