Just x-clamped a E74 Xbox 360

Give it a light little zap with a heatgun then did the x-clamp. Came back to life straight away. This is a 360 that has worked flawlessly up until now.

Beginning to wonder if this new NXE dashboard is causing issues. So far 2 360s that Ive had have been fine pre-NXE then within months of installing it bang, one E74 and the other with no pic only sound.

I doubt its NXE, I would think it more likely the deluge of great titles at the end of last year means you've used the 360's more.

Gratz on the fix though, hope it stays solid!

What was strange about the 360 is its a Falcon but it is 3 times as noisy as my Zephyr.

Fan noise or disk drive noise wise? I know some Falcons had the early Benq? models in that were noisier.
