Another Secure HDCP link not found problem.

Hi All,

This seems to be a common problem with the Xbox elite, but I can't see a solution.

I am getting the error when trying to play a DVD from the internal drive. (I get the error from the HD Drive as well)

I am using the suplied HDMI cable (So I am assuming that this is HDMI Complient) and the Optical out to an Onkyo Amp.

How can I tell if the TV is compatable? its a Panasonic Viera 32" LCD about 3 years old now, not sure on the version number at the mo, Im at work.

If more info is required to help I will get back to you.

Cheers.

---- edit -----

Just had another thought... My PS3 works with its supplied HDMI and Bluray so I will try the lead from the PS3.
Maybe the Xbox Lead isnt compatable ?

Well, The PS3 HDMI lead had the same result.

So I have gone back to the Composite lead. All works fine with that.

Re: Another Secure HDCP link not found problem.

hey
you need to check to see if your tv is hdcp compatible, use google and put your model number in and search under specs, or if you can watch any part of the film your tv is compatible if it just shows a black screen from the start then it aint.
I can tell you its not an issue with the hdmi cable and its not an issue using either component or vga just hdmi. its basically a delay in signal travel between the xbox 360 and your tv but its more on xbox side as i spoken to a samsung engineer who said that my tv is compatible and that there are ongoin issues with microsofts system to this problem
