The 'Have you suffered RROD?' Poll

Thought it might be interesting so see roughly what percentage of 360s actually suffer the dreaded RROD or any other fault for that matter.

Simply vote YES - have had RROD, NO - still fault free or Other Fault

My Elite incidently is still ticking after 15 months (hope I've not just given it the kiss of death by saying that, lol).

Happened once, just over a week after I got my Xbox.

Hasn't happened since though - let's hope it continues that way!

Argument:
This poll is bias because only people who have had a failure will vote.

Answer:
Of course, because only 360 owners will vote .

Re: The 'Have you suffered RROD?' Poll

Have had various 360 die, sometimes I think it was because I looked at it the wrong way. But like a Siren it forever calls me back to crash on its glowing red shores, offering the promise of a great online service and games (Which it does IMO)

P.S. Not a poet.

My latest is coming home, it's coming home, it's coming....

Actually there will probably be spoiler voting from the fanboy crowd too, that being said they at least count for the people then that have had multiple failures .

Re: The 'Have you suffered RROD?' Poll

2 Failures. One after 6 months ( back to game for replacemt ) within the hour was up an running again ?
2nd away for repair well out of warranty.
Neither RROD. Some major GPU prob i think with strange coloured mad lines and "White noise" effects, Scared the **** out of me playing Condemend the first time in the dark at mid vol level.
So no, no RROD here, Other Fault.

1st 360 the GPU died, got an exchange from game
2nd 360 got the RROD, 'fixed by Microsoft'
Fixed console had DVD errors then got the RROD again
Replacement console has been brilliant so far (Touches wood..wink wink).....

If I get the RROD again I'm going to get a PS3

85% is playing it down a little (joke)

They're not as bad as they used to be, if you've recently bought it though make sure you know where your receipt is!

Re: The 'Have you suffered RROD?' Poll

I had to vote no although I'm on my 3erd 360 due to faults.

1st had a failed DVD drive replaced by Game... then 11 months later this one suffered an E74 error (one red light!) this 360 was replaced by MS when it was sent in for repair 14 months or so ago. This one is still going strong although I suspect it's an earlier model refurbished as it's still quite noisy even when games are played from the hard drive!

Edit whoops I seem to have voted in the wrong section.... don't suppose it's possible to move my vote is it?

Re: The 'Have you suffered RROD?' Poll

Its happened twice to me.

First occasion: was within 45 minutes of firing my first console up took it straight back to the shop for a replacement.

Second occasion :was in may this year when the replacement died on startup. Id used it previously but then turned it off to go out. When i got back and turned it on it went.

Since then ( touches wood ) i've been fine. Though i think if this console dies again i may well just buy a new one.

Re: The 'Have you suffered RROD?' Poll

my fifth repair is currently in transit, i have only bought one console and its rrod 5 times. first two times it happened i got really mad, but it seems to me that it has now become an accepted part of owning a 360.
