Hi,

Last week I was invited to upadte my Xbox 360. It failed to update after about an hour. Now every time I try and update, the progress bar skips to where it originally failed and then proceeds to fail. I have tried to uodate at various times of the day with the same result.

It also won't let me join Xbox Live until the update has been performed.


I also have been having some problems connecting to Xbox Live since updating to the new dashboard, it is complaing about the MTU size. This never used to occur with the old dashboard. Has anyone had similar problems.

try clearing your cache Xbox 360 FAQ - Clearing the Cache on the Xbox 360 Console
that "should" remove any updates that were incomplete but will also take away any game updates which will re download when your back on live, all your other bits gamesave's and such will be safe.
