Hi everyone,
I m planning to get an ASUS monitor with HDMI, high contrast ratio and 16:9 aspect ratio for my XBOX 360. What size of monitor will be good for me – 22” or 24” ? I m looking at among these 1080p models-

1. ASUS VH222H – 21.5” - 1080p – 20,000:1 DC – 5 ms – lowest price
2. ASUS VH226H – 21.5” – 1080p – 12,000:1 DC – 2 ms (GTG) – higher price
3. ASUS VW246H – 24” – 1080p – 20,000:1 DC – 2ms (GTG) – highest price

I want to use my XBOX 360 via HDMI and PC via DVI. Which monitor will look good for XBOX 360? I know that XBOX 360 graphics is not actually 1080p, it can do 720p internally and upscale to 1080p. So I think 24” monitor may be very large for 720p graphics but I can get bigger screen for PC games to use same resolutio as the 22” ones. Again does lower response time have an effect on 360 graphics (2ms vs 5 ms)?
What about Dynamic contrast?

Currently I m using 19” Dell SE198WFP and XBOX 360 via HDMI to DVI adapter (resolution 1440 X 900). Contrast is not good enough for me (1000:1) and graphics is not sharp enough and I have black bars on screen when playing 360 games. And ofcourse I want a bigger screen for the 360 that’s why I m switching.

What do u think guys? Which monitor should I get ? a 22” or 24” ?

One thing I would keep in mind is to check if you've got 1:1 pixel mapping, otherwise it may stretch the 1920x1080 image from the Xbox to fit the 1920x1200 resolution of the screen (unless this wouldn't bother you). Just for the record, I did some research when I bought a 24" monitor for my PC and ended up with an Iiyama, and I'm very happy with it.
