RROD replacement, any chance of Jasper swap?

My nov 2005 (bought feb 06 + replaced 18 months after) 360 as given rrod for the second time and MS are replacing it (must have been right on the edge).

What am I going to get , will there be any chance of HDMI or Jasper chipset replacement, its a premium 20gb?

It will be a zombie box (refurbished), if you do get a new console then it will be a Falcon Premium, but that is being incredibly optimistic.

Expect to get a refurbished box which is currently Opus I believe, a Falcon with no HDMI.

Yep the replacements tend to be old Xenon systems that have the new Opus boards fitted and usually a new DVD drive too I believe. Its not all doom and gloom though as they're certainly better than your original board.

Well had that done 18 months ago from my nov 05 console, so it came back quieter and cooler as well (new board + dvd last time).

With a bit of luck it'll come back even quieter and cooler this time around (perhaps, I live in hope).

Yeah its a like for like, if its not a Hdmi you will get back a non hdmi model, yet to hear anyone get a hdmi for there old launch
