My opinion 100% absolutely. The Jaspers are very good consoles.

Xenons are pathetic. That is worth £50 of anyones money.

Managed to get game to swap over my brothers 16 month old RROD Elite, he got a Jasper in return.

Have managed to find a shop who had a delivery yesterday and they say that on the back of the box there are adverts for fable 2 and quantum of solice.
Hopefully this should be a jasper

I Used to have a Falcon chipset 360 which I sold a while back. Im gonna pick up another 360 and thanks to this thread I know what to look for to get a Jasper chipset. my only question is that my Falcon used to annoy me with a high pitched whine even when doing nothing just idling in the dashboard, Is the jasper quieter?.

The Jasper still has it, but it may not be as bad as the Falcon, but its really just luck of the draw between each specific individual console you get.

Its considerably quieter than a Xenon though.

From what i understand all Game stores are in constant supply of jasper elites although i would still check to be sure.

Bought a jasper elite from HMV today
Has a manufacture date of may 09 and has the fable 2 advert on the back so it seems thats the thing to look for

Got a really good deal aswell---Elite,an extra black official wireless controller,800 ms points and fifa 09 for just £235.10

My local GAME was selling elites with a manufacture date from 08

So i'm a happy chappy

Got it from vicar lane HMV in chezzy mate so not far from you. Give them a bell and ask if the ones thay have in stock have the fable 2 advert at the top of the back of the box. The staff there are very helpfull.
