Re: Light gun. Why there are none for 360?

Light guns needed a cathode ray tube (older style telly - big & heavy) to work. Don't ask me why but it was something to do with the screen flicker that you don't get on LCD's & Plasmas.

There are ways round it with new light guns having sensor bars to detect where the gun is pointed for HDTV's. To be honest, these type of games are perfect Arcade fodder but unlikely to satisfy the PS360 generation who want a bit more from a game.

If you have a Wii, I've played House of the Dead 2 & 3 which is a great laugh and works well with the wiimote.

There was one at the launch of the 360. Just nobody buys them to make economic sense to design them for LCD/Plasma.

It was a bazooka-thing made by Mad-Catz or something like that.

Re: Light gun. Why there are none for 360?

If you look back at sales of lightguns and games in the original xbox they were very poor. I'm pretty sure Microsoft made the decision this time that given the expense of producing a lightgun for LCD TV's would be higher and the demand just wasn't there last time it would be a waste of money. I personally agree with them as I have two lightguns that are projector and LCD TV compatible but they weren't cheap and I rarely use them.
