Polipods for my xbox

May have been mentioned before but i got some of these polipods (rubber feet for av exuipment) and stuck 4 underneath my xbox. (av enthusiasts swear by them)

With the NXE not to much of a difference when i play a game from the hard drive (none at all in fact) as my fans are pretty quiet.

But when i run a disc in the disk drive it is defo quieter. i still have the whine of the drive but at high speeds there is no vibration noise.

i have my xbox on a glass shelf under my tv so maybe i noticed that more.

i was thinking that maybe a couple of soft squash balls cut in half may do the same job.

has anybody else tried these or other ideas and had any luck?

Could anyone think of any good cheaper options?

i was wondering if maybe some older xbox had fans that vibrated more that could benifit from doing this?

Re: Polipods for my xbox

I've used a couple of pieces of cut up pipe lagging and that has worked also. Make sure yot don't cover the vents underneath though.
