HDMI problems

Hi all, and a big welcome for me to the forum!

I got pointed in this direction from a regular forum I post on after nobody could assist me with my problem, and was wondering if anyone could please be of any assistance.

Here's the problem;

While playing my Xbox through the HDMI I recieve a highly annoying clicking/crunching noise every so often. A noise as if the cable is being ripped out therefore cutting off the sound.

I have tries several different cables, still the same.

I have tried my xbox on a different HDTV, still the same.

I have tried a different xbox on my HDTV, still the same.

I'm all out of ideas.

So it looks like i'll have to use my xbox via the component, which as far as I can tell (image and sound wise) appears exactly the same. Are my eyes and ears failing me or is this usually the case??

Thanks in advance.

Gaz.

Re: HDMI problems

sounds like a fault with your with either the hdmi input on your tv, and/or the hdmi connection on your 360.
best to get them looked at..

So hes tried two tvs and two xboxes and different cables so there is not single piece of hardware..

I wonder if there is some kind of interference??

Re: HDMI problems

Yeah, it really has my stumped. I have a new HDTV on route so I will give an update on it's arrival.

A friend of a friend has stated that because I don't have an xbox elite, this is the problem. Although i'm not convinced!

Lol, let me guess. The black ones are better!

How old is the wiring in the house? I'm guessing, like me, when the xbox is on you also have amp, tv, splitter etc on, so could be a trip in your mains.
