I've read some thread posts/articles about how it is not a good idea to hook up a Xbox 360 to surge protectors. Can anyone confirm/dismiss this?

i wouldnt lay credance to that..
ive had all my kit connected to a surge protector from day one,and never had a problem.
i expect a lot of people have done the same without problems, as well.
