Xbox or TV scaling?

Hi guys,

I have been wondering for while...My TV is a 1080p sony 46w4000. Since just about all 360 games are native 720p, what is best....

1. Set xbox to scale to 1080p

or

2. Set xbox to 720p and allow TV to do the scaling

I have it connected via HDMI. I have previously had it set to 1080p but just tried it on 720p, it doesnt look all that different but I was almost convinced that motion looked smoother on 720p. could this be something to do with the method of scaling the 360 uses?

What settings do you guys use? Any help would be appreciated

Cheers
