my xbox developed the e74 error recently and i had to send it to germany for repair. this got me wondering how much does this actually cost microsoft?
looking at the ups site it works out at just over £55 for delivery from the uk to germany. this is just one way so would it be another £55 to send it back? i'm sure microsoft have some sort of arrangement with ups but surely the cost of delivery combined with the cost of the replacement parts and the labour are costing microsoft a tidy amount?!
you'd think running up these costs would make them realise they need to put more quality in the origional build of the console

i mean surely it would be better to put better quality parts into the machine rather than the expensive of shipping and repairing of thousands of consoles?
on a side note i think they should use a different delivery company, my 360 was picked up on the 5/11/2008 and delivered to germany on the 08/11/2008. it was repaired and ready to ship on the 11/11/2008. it was picked up in frankfurt on the 12/11/2008. arrived in Barking on the 13/11/2008, then was forwarded to and arrived in tamworth on the 14/11/2008. i was getting a bit concerned so i called ups today and was told it would be with me on tuesday 18/11/2008

what the fook is that all about!!!??? i even bought gears of war2 yesterday thinking its bound to be back to me on saturday!!!
so 3 days to get to germany and 6 days for it to come back
