Ring Of Death Replacement

Hi just got got my xbox360 back after ring of death fault (4 days) When i recieved it back the letter said they hae replaced it. But is the replacement a new one or a fixed ring of death one. The console still has no hdmi slots so its not the newest version. Can anyone clear this up, Thanks

Well if there's no HDMI then It's its a refurb or certainly old stock as they don't manufacture them without HDMI any more. I'm assuming the serial No is not your original serial

They do make a replacment board without HDMI for use in older machines that are sent in for repair.

The new Non-HDMI boards have 65nm cpu but standard GPU and was given the codename Opus by MS

I guess its a new board . When i got it back the first thing i checked was to see if any hdmi slots where there Oh well at least it works again and it has a benq cd drive which seems quieter in fact the hole system seems quieter. So I guess i will need to wait a bit longer before i can use the hdmi slots on the tv
