Turnaround time for 360 repairs

Apologies for a question which has no doubt been asked many times (I have a couple of other questions anyway).<O</O

When returning faulty 360s recently how long have people waited to get repaired/replacement consoles back? I’ve read some older threads where people were waiting a long time (1-2 months) and had been told 25 working days by MS but I’ve been told 2-3 weeks so are they turning them around a bit quicker these days?

UPS picked mine up yesterday morning, missing it already.

I had an E74 error with 1 flashing red light in the lower right quadrant. I know it was a fault with the part of the machine which deals with AV because with either HDMI or regular AV cable attached I got the error but with no AV cables attached there was no red light. Can anyone who’s had a similar error confirm whether they got a fixed/refurbed or new console?<O</O

Also, I’ve lost track of what’s happening with different chipsets etc. Mine was a Falcon, is there a newer version? Am I likely to get one? Not really expecting a solid answer about this but thought I’d ask anyway.

Thanks

Your shipment is moving within the UPS network and should be delivered on the posted Rescheduled Delivery Date. A shipment can remain in this status until it is delivered. Other than time-definite air deliveries, shipments are generally delivered anytime between the hours of 9 a.m. and 7 p.m. to residences, and by close of business for commercial addresses. UPS cannot schedule a specific delivery time within that window.
In Transit - Rescheduled
Rescheduled Delivery: 18/11/2008

Godders, did you tell them it was 1 red light or 3? If 1 you could be liable for a charge

I also had the E74 error and UPS picked it up last Monday (3rd) and delivered it back to me yesterday (12th) which was less than the 2 - 3 weeks quoted by MS

It was bought in March this year so still within the 1 year warranty anyway.

I know I could have gone to the retailer (Amazon) but for various reasons (have just moved, no net access at home, Amazon site blocked from work etc) it was actually easier to send it back to MS .

So i reckon monday it will be back.

Not a bad turnaround.

Re: Turnaround time for 360 repairs

Got mine back after 1 week - it's now a 2008 model with no HDMI? Didnt think they still made those.

NOw my arcade games dont play unless I am online, I think there is a utility I can run somewhere which might fix this?

read this first : Xbox.com | System Use - Important Information About Your Downloaded Content After Console Repair/Refurbishment

your licenses for downloaded content should be autmatically transferred, usually you have to redownload the content(just the key,not the whole thing,so it takes seconds, after a repair).
if that still doesnt work, heres a link to the tool.
license transfer tool : Xbox.com | System Use - Transferring Content Licenses to a New Console
