Hi All,

Just purchased an Elite with the 120GB HD.

Just sent off for the transfer pack - anybody know if there's any alternatives to copy over the data from my 20GB to the 120GB rather than waiting for the kit?

Was thinking maybe I could copy the data to my laptop or something similar? The 360 is networked via media centre on Vista..

the other way to do it would take a bit longer, but as you have a new console you could transfer your licences from all your content from your old box to your new box by ussing the licence transfer tool on the xbox website. You then use a memory card to transfer your saves and profile to your new box and after you have transfered your licences to your new box you would go to the downoad history of your profile on the new xbox and you can redownload all your content.

I was in the same situation as you and as said before USB does not work for saves.

Memory Unit and Download History is a good combination - a trick I used over the weekend when I got a second hand 120gb hdd

Remember though that some save games will not copy or move for some reason - Perfect Dark Zero springs to mind, but won't bother most people for that game!

You can still use your old HDD though, it is quite easy and quick to swap them round - particularly if your machine is standing upright.

Anyone know where I can get a transfer cable and software to implement change from 20gb to 120gb hard disk. Ebay prices are upwards of £20. I don't have an Elite so can't get a free one from MS.

the 120gig hardrive comes with the kit and the disc in the box.

Does the Elite console come with this, or is it just if you buy the hard drive?
