7.1 DTS HD from XBOX HD Player via PC Posiible to be cheap?

I have been reading in this forum for a few day now but I still cant find the answer.
So, I think I should ask you guy in a new thread.
I have HD DVD XBOX Player drive and I want to connect it to PC.
The picture will be linked to LCD via graphic card but what about the sound?
I would like to connect it to a receiver and I supposed that it has to be DTS HD sound card compatible but after a few reading, I think the sound card that can handle DTS HD is too expensive.
If normal DTS card is better(much cheaper) choice, what would you recommend.
I still need a digital signal to my receiver.

Thank for your help

best solution would be to use a audio card that used spdif to send audio to your reciever, there are hundreds of cards that can do this and they are quite cheap, your motherboard maybe able to do this already if it has spdif.

as for true HD theres only 1 or 2 cards at the min and there very expensive and from what ive read have numerous problems.

you can however decode the audio in your dvd player software and output it through the anolouge outputs of your pc into your amp if it has the inputs.
