As the title states - I am thinking of buying a HD DVD add on for my 360 and wonder if the 5 free HD DVD offer will still be valid for one purchased new from Amazon?

Any help appreciated

I very much doubt it.

In any case you can pick up any of those HD-DVDs that were given away for just a couple of pounds each. Either with Amazons BOGOF offer or on the forums here.

As stated the offer is over but cheapest option is to buy one from gamestation with 2 HDs for £25 (in store) then buy the films you want from hmv and play from £3.99.

I went into Gamestation and they are selling them for £39.99 and looks like no films. I then decided to go to Amazon to get it for £24.99 (probably without films) and they are now sold out. They weren't last night.

Dam they must have stopped it after I picked one up, drive is still £20 online - or £30 with 2 free films, but not a great offer as tehy are only £4 to buy now.

I got one of ebay for £18 so I am happy with that price. I already have a couple of discs coming in the post (Blade Runner, King Kong).

I bought a HD-DVD drive today from Gamestation in Wembley for £25 with 2 films - Beowulf and Blood Diamond. I'm tempted to send off for the 5 free hd dvds!

I've still got a pdf of the form

After all what are they gonna do with the films that are left? They should send a few my way
