retuning a nearly dead 360

will Microsoft replace a 360 that gets the RROD then starts working again or douse it need to be permanent, plus i don't have a printer so how would i get the shipping labels.

Phone the XBOX support number on the link below, tell them you have the RROD, they will arrange for a courier to pick up the console, you have to take everything off i:e the harddrive any memory cards and even the faceplate, pack your console in a plain box and when the courier arrives he will have the shipping note to stick on the box. Don't forget to get a reciept.

Microsoft can arrange for the couriers (UPS) to supply the labels themselves.

what happens when they try it and it boots up ok will they just send it back, plus will i get a new falcon model or another dodgy replacement.

They will either repair or replace with a refurbed or new 360. There is no guarantee that you will get one with a new chipset....not that it makes that much of a difference anyway.
