Looks nice. Think I prefer it to the star wars one

I do quite fancy one of these to replace my ageing HDMI Premium.

The thing is, I've always had a 120 gig drive on it and normally have about 30 gig free...

Having said that, with MW3, Gears of War 3, Battlefield 3 (what is it with all the 3s!?), I may well need some more space!

You'll see my post down below where I was going to get the limited edition Gears machine to replace my elite, I even put down a deposit for it but in the end picked up a brand new slim for £138 in Tesco's via a hotukdeal post! and I couldnt jusify the extra £130 for another joypad, copy of the game and a extra 70gb of hard-drive space.

I do like this limited machine but I dont like the MW3 printed on the front! means the console will be outdated when next years call of duty is released! Just like my mates as he has the limited edition super elite MW2 version of the old model!

And I.D's Rage, which apparently comes on 3 disks and requires 22 gig of disk space for an install.

I agree re it becoming out of date quickly and that's the main reason I've never bought a "themed" one, but I am concerned that my machine is getting on.

I suppose I could take a chance and just get a 250 gig HDD for my machine (are they even available for my model?).

Maybe that would be the answer-keep my HDMI Premium and upgrade the drive (if that's possible, as I have already migrated to the current 120 gig drive from the original 20 gig).

Yeah you certainly can get a 250gb hard-drive for the old models as they were first released on the super elite machines, like the MW2 one my friend has then they released it seperately.

I recommend the new slim machines though, I think there's a few places such as Sainburys, Gamestop online selling a new 250gb machine for £159.99 I think that's well worth it.

Game/Gamestation I believe are also selling them for £159.99 if you buy any game pre-owned or new? So even if you pick up cheap preowned FIFA 07 for 99p or something like that? And then you could trade your current machine in against the price so you might get a new one for around £100 or so?

If your looking to upgrade at a reasonable price I'd do something like that.

Good info, thanks.

The thing is, my local CEX has a 250 gig drive for £40 (and I have a £100 voucher burning a hole in my pocket!), so it's whether I could get a drive and again migrate from my current 120 gig to a 250 gig?

I currently have about 33GB free, but with those 6 games it will be nowhere near enough space.

So if I (can) move from my current 120GB to a 250GB drive, I will have circa 190GB to take all my game installs (which should be enough for those 6).

Decisions, decisions....

You should be able to migrate between from your 120gb to 250gb and if you can a £40 250gb is definitely the answer.

I'd just lways be abit wary of the older machines, the reason I upgraded was because my 120gb Elite give up the ghost! And i had a old 20gb machine do the same but that's not to say yours will!

Just have to decide if it's worth the risk holding onto your current machine? I think installing games to the hard-drive definitely gives the older machines more life as they aren't working as hard reading the DVD.

They also sell a 250GB 360 console for circa £140.

So, as the voucher I have is for £100 I could get that and pay the extra £40 in cash and then either sell my console privately or part ex it in CEX, which would bring the cost down even more (although I would obviously not have the remaining £60 on the voucher that I would if I just bought a drive!).

I think a drive is the way to go....

Why can't they just release a non logo'd 320gb, i'd buy it.
I don't want to buy one with GOW or COD on it.

Seems like nothing has changed at CEX, as despite showing "1-3" in stock at the store, they actually didn't have any at all.

So what you going to do now then? Just track down a 250gb hard drive?

Yes, maybe at another branch so I can use my voucher instead of having to pay cash.

Another rip off exclusive to the game group only.

I hope a lot of people don't pay out for these or they will keep doing this we need this sort of thing to be available to a few more places like it is in the US so the prices will drop to what it should be.

The thing doesn't even include a play & charge kit and it should include either the wireless headset or the limited edition of the game atleast.

Bagged myself a 250GB drive, 172GB free currently.

That should be enough for Gears 3, Rage, Forza, BF3 & MW3....
