Transferring Data

I have bought a new HDD and I'm waiting for my migration cable to arrive, the question I have is if I start using the new HDD before the cable arrives, will everything that I have saved on it be wiped off when I transfer the save games etc from my old HDD??

its not definitive but if you are moving it all accross anyway why dont you just carry on saving on your old hdd until it's moved over? That way it will be migrated and definitely kept

Anything on the target drive will be wiped when migrating, so i wouldn't use it until you get your kit.

However, if you know of someone with a memory card, you can transfer saves from your new drive onto the old one, then migrate. Or just leave them on the card then put them back onto the new drive after you migrate.
