2nd RROD - Is my 360 still under warranty?

2nd RROD - Is my 360 still under warranty?

Hi,

I bought my 360 just under 3 years ago, 25/11/06 to be exact, and I now keep getting 3 red lights. This is the 2nd time it's happened, I sent it off to be repaired at the beginning of last year.

I know it's 3 years warranty for 3 red lights but am I effected by the fact I've already had it repaired or not? On the 360 support page it says my standard warranty expired on the 5/18/2008 which was only a few months after I got it back from repair.

If I contact MS will they update the warranty if I give them proof of when I purchased the 360, so they'll repair it again?

The 3 years warranty starts from your original 360, it doesn't reset when you have a repair, check my sig, I was able to get MS to repair my 360 for free which was outsite of the 3 years warranty period

If you log into the support pages on Xbox.com and enter your console's serial number, it'll tell you when your warranty expired.

But no, it doesn't reset when MS repair it (mentioned in the FAQ!).

MS will only tell you when warranty expires if xbox was registered with them after purchase.

If issue is RROD then still covered under the 3 year warranty for that failure and E74 failure.

Just had mine repaired for E74 took just under 2 weeks from reporting to being returned.
